Surfer / Artist / Activist / Communications

Seth was born and raised in Southern California. He has lived in Huntington Beach since the early 70's, and loves everything about the ocean since his toes first touched the sand. As a grom, Seth always loved interacting with the porpoises when he was surfing. “Whenever a dolphin or porpoise shows up in the lineup, it would just make my day, whether the waves were perfect or just blown out junk. They somehow send off good vibes to everyone they’re around,” Seth says. “I love being in the water with them and will do "anything" it takes to protect them.”

Seth began to promote surfing contests when he was in the eighth grade, he then created a professional surfing series in his early twenties called the HB Pro/Am, a grass roots surfing event held in Huntington Beach, CA. Always thinking about inventing the next good thing, Seth sold the event in 2003 to begin his own Graphic Design Studio, Matson Graphics.

Seth spends his free time surfing, creating many styles of abstract art, thinking positive and spending time with his beautiful wife, Jennifer. When his longest childhood friend, Justin Krumb, asked him to come on board with all the great crew at S4C back in 2007, it was a no brainer for Seth because of his love of the ocean and all cetaceans. Seth has increased his involvement over the last few years. He currently donates free web hosting for S4Cglobal.org, maintains the website, facebook, and creates any graphic design needed for S4C Global.

Seth currently sits on the Executive Committee board of the Huntington Beach Surfrider Foundation as Vice Chairman (2011).
